YOUR INITIAL CONSULTATION
Your first consultation will last about an hour. It’s a chance for us to discuss what you want to achieve and any concerns you might have. We’ll also ask you some questions about your diet currently. You will be given an informative, but easy to understand explanation of nutrition, and why each area is important to help with your own understanding about your diet. Anything discussed will be typed up and provided in a document following the consultation. You will be given a diet diary to take away to be completed and sent to us before the follow up session, as well as being given some changes that can be made to your diet right away, tailored to your preference and specific needs.
Once we have received your diet diary, we are able to assess your diet for deficiencies as well as be able to clearly to see what foods may need to be added, or taken away. We will then create a personalised programme for you. During the follow up appointment we will discuss with you the nutritional plan outlined, and make any corrections based on your feedback. We will also have time to answer any further questions you might have following the consultation.
You may then want to come back in 4 to 6 weeks, so we can evaluate your progress and make any necessary changes to your programme.
